John is a seasoned executive with 19 years of healthcare IT business ownership experience specializing in patient engagement, marketing, and software/web development. He was the co-founder of EMR Experts, an EHR consulting firm, which was sold to Bizmatics Inc in 2008. John then founded Medical Web Experts, a leader in custom HIPAA-compliant software/web development and marketing for the healthcare industry. Bridge Patient Portal, an all-in-one patient engagement solution, was spun-off from Medical Web Experts in 2012.

John split his time as CEO between both Medical Web Experts and Bridge Patient Portal until late 2019, at which point he stepped down as CEO at Medical Web Experts to focus solely on Bridge Patient Portal. John has positioned both companies as leaders in the patient engagement space, earning the trust of some of the biggest names in healthcare. Besides his extensive experience in business and workforce management, he also maintains strong technical knowledge in information systems, IT security, compliance, and healthcare.

Josh was trained as an information technology technician at Penn Foster College in Scottsdale, Arizona. He lived and worked in the United States for five years before moving to Argentina, where he gained the opportunity to work for a major electronic medical records (EMR) company as an interface and help desk director. During this career opportunity, he received valuable EMR training. He also worked closely with major labs and practice management (PM) software companies in the US before coming to Medical Web Experts in 2013 as the product owner of Bridge Patient Portal. He is well versed in HL7 interfaces and has managed the development of patient portal features that include meeting Meaningful Use requirements for various EMR companies, including Bridge Patient Portal. Josh works with Bridge Patient Portal’s team of talented developers to better the product every day.

Kortney studied business management at Oakland Community College in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She joined our parent company, Medical Web Experts, as the office manager in 2010, then became the director of HR & administration in 2013, where she managed a team of four people and assisted in the initial stages of forming Bridge Patient Portal, inc. As her role became much more financially focused on the following years, she moved into the Chief of Staff role in 2021, and currently manages all finance-related initiatives for Bridge Patient Portal.

Pablo manages Bridge’s IT security policies and HIPAA-compliant hosting infrastructure. He holds an M.S. in Cybersecurity from the University of Buenos Aires and is currently an associate professor of cybersecurity engineering at CPE Lyon in France. His research is centered around the security challenges that next-gen communications technologies face, and his work has appeared in IEEE. Pablo is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect, and a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). He has a passion for applying the latest technologies to combat cybersecurity threats.

Clement is a strategic marketing leader dedicated to advancing science and health. His experience spans digital marketing, communications, and brand management for tech, consumer goods, higher education, and medical devices. Clement holds a B.A. in Business Administration from California State University, Los Angeles and an M.S. in Marketing & Business Analysis from the University of Edinburgh.

Blake studied business administration at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia, and completed a Health Information Curriculum and Training for Transformation (HICATT) program and GCP sales certification.

He joined Bridge Patient Portal in 2016 after transferring from our parent company Medical Web Experts. Blake is passionate about driving collaboration with clients, partners, and internal teams to achieve performance goals and successful relationships.

Nakahara is a proven leader with an extensive background in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and financial industries.  As Chief Financial Officer for InDemand Interpreting, Inc., a company which serves over 1M patients annually providing on-demand video medical interpreting services to limited English proficient patients, Nakahara was instrumental in achieving stellar growth with 4-year revenue compound annual growth rate of over 40%.  The Company was sold in 2019 for over 2x trailing 12-month revenue. 

He served as Chief Financial Officer for the Washington Health Benefit Exchange (aka Obamacare), he was awarded over $300M in HHS/CMS federal grants to design, develop and implement Washington’s new health insurance marketplace.  During his tenure, the organization completed its successful online health insurance marketplace platform rollout, federal compliance and clean financial annual audits. 

He also served as Senior Vice President & CFO for Premera Blue Cross, as well as Senior Auditor with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and KPMG.

Nakahara holds an MBA in Finance (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Puget Sound, and a B.A. in Accounting/Finance/International Business (Cum Laude) from the University of Washington.  He enjoys speaking nationally and locally to wide audiences representing organizations including the Washington State Society of CPAs, State-Based ACA Exchanges, and at the Moss Adams National Annual Healthcare Conferences.
